The vessel is one of a series of ‘Field Studies’ – thrown vessels displaying dry and satin glaze on the outside and shiny glazes on the inside. The work is inspired by objects and images collected, specific beaches and coastal features along the West Wales coast. Made on the potters wheel then turned to form a footring, deconstructed, reconstructed and painted using an abstract mark making / painting.
