Wall mounted extruded clay shelf / sculpture holding a ‘Field Study Vessel’. This series of wall sculptures and integrated vessels are made in response to an ongoing research based practice.The focus of the work is a response to a specific sense of site and place. These abstract forms incorporate a mix of dry and shiny glazes and glazing methods. The vessels are thrown on the wheel, the sculptural forms extruded, deconstructed then reconstructed and painted using an abstract marks with dry and shiny glazes.
